Our Business Improvement and Change Team manage a wide range of projects which are helping to transform the way we deliver services to our residents. The Team are looking for a Project Manager to manage a range of projects that seek to make significant improvements to the council.

You will need to be an experienced Project Manager who is good at working with multiple stakeholders across organisations. You will have responsibility for all aspects of delivering the project making sure that everyone that needs to be, is engaged and focussed on delivering the project to a successful conclusion. You will also provide day to day supervision of a Project Lead within the Business Improvement and Change Team.

You will need to demonstrate a track record of managing complex projects to a successful conclusion and have strong organisational skills as well as an ability to successfully manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.

Essential:

Ability to manage multiple and complex projects.

Task scheduling and prioritisation.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.

Knowledge

Essential:

Knowledge and expertise in project management.
Detailed knowledge of project management documentation.
Understanding of council governance process.
Up to date knowledge of computer systems, e.g., MS Office.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

Experience of successful delivery of improvement and change.
Experience of working on own initiative.
Experience of working across multiple departments and organisations.
Professional qualification in programme/project management such as Prince 2 or equivalent.
