Are you someone who can confidentially produce user-focused, accessible websites and digital content?

We are looking for a web and digital officer to join our friendly and supportive team, taking responsibility for the creation, review and improvement of content on all council websites. As well as making sure our content meets the accessibility standards required by government, you will be able to work creatively to convey complex information in an understandable way.

Skills

Essential:

Attention to detail demonstrating exceptional editing and proofreading skills.
The ability to manage conflicting priorities and changes at short notice.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.

Knowledge

Essential:

Extensive knowledge of WCAG standards and best practice.
Knowledge of web content management systems preferably Umbraco.

Experience & Qualifications

Essential:

Experience of maintaining large, complex websites.
2 degree level or similar in a digital or communications related subject or equivalent experience.
