Adult and Community Services

Adult and Community Services directly undertake the strategic commissioning of adult social care, working with the NHS through an Integrated Care Organisation - who directly deliver services on our behalf.  Community Services are provided by Torbay Council and include our environmental health teams, housing needs services, revenue and benefits, welfare support, community safety and customer services.

Finance

Our teams provide a comprehensive financial management and procurement service to all of our departments focussing on innovative, commercial solutions to complex public sector challenges. They are responsible for the effective use of our capital and revenue budgets and publishing our statement of accounts.

Pride in Place

It’s an exciting time to be part of our Pride in Place team. We have numerous improvement projects taking place across Torbay with the biggest investment in our towns we’ll see for generations. Our Pride in Place team includes planning, harbours, culture and events, parking services, waste management and carbon neutral commitments.

Public Health

Our public health team work towards improving the health and quality of life in Torbay, as well as tackling the causes of poor health. We work closely with colleagues across the organisation and with partners to reduce health inequalities and give help to those in Torbay who need it most.
